Start with the essentials

Your digital and physical CannaCards membership cards

CannaCards gives you two ways to keep membership identification close: a digital card in your account and a physical QR card. Both belong to your membership; neither is a government identity document or a medical credential.

The useful distinction is between showing a card, checking whether it is valid and opening private account information. These are separate actions with different access requirements.

Two cards within one annual membership

The €60 annual consumer price includes applicable taxes, a digital membership card and one physical card with standard delivery. Membership also includes one initial legal consultation of up to 30 minutes per membership year. Replacement cards and additional professional work are separate.

An application, sample card or payment screen alone does not activate membership. Successful payment must be verified before membership benefits start. Keep the receipt and review your renewal date in the account; future annual renewals can be cancelled there.

Use the digital card through your account

Sign in using your member email and the login code. Open the card from the dashboard rather than relying on an old screenshot. A saved image can show an earlier state; the QR validity check is the route for checking the card’s current status.

Treat the email login code as access to your account. Do not send it to somebody who only needs to scan your card. Public validity checks do not require access to your private dashboard or your email inbox.

Check delivery, then activate the physical card

Confirm the recipient and complete delivery address during enrollment. Use the account to follow production and shipping progress. When the physical card arrives, sign in and choose the action to activate the received card.

Check that the delivered card corresponds to your account before activating it. If the delivery details or card look wrong, contact support through the account. A printing or shipping status is different from activation; a card still in transit should not be marked received.

What somebody scanning the QR can see

A public QR scan reveals membership-card validity only. It does not open your name, legal messages, medical information or private account. Access to private information requires authentication and the appropriate permission.

The physical artwork can itself contain printed membership details, so take care when sharing a photograph of the card. QR privacy does not make everything printed on the plastic invisible. CannaCards membership also does not prove a prescription or permission to possess or transport cannabis.

Report loss before requesting a replacement

Report a lost physical card in the account so its QR identifier is revoked immediately. Your digital card remains available. A replacement receives a new identifier; it does not reuse the lost card’s public verification link.

If the old card turns up later, continue using the current card shown in your account. Check the replacement terms and delivery details before requesting production. Reporting a physical card lost does not by itself cancel future membership renewals.

Your next-step checklist

  • Verify payment and your membership status in the account.
  • Check the full recipient address before fulfillment.
  • Activate the physical card only after it arrives.
  • Keep login codes and private account access to yourself.
  • Revoke a lost card and use the replacement’s new identifier.

Common questions

Can someone read my medical records from the QR?

No. The public scan shows card validity only. Clinical records stay with the clinical provider, and medical services remain separate from membership.

Do I lose digital access when the physical card is lost?

Reporting loss revokes the affected physical card. It does not revoke your separate digital card or replace the need to manage membership renewal in your account.

Does a physical card prove that I am a medical patient?

No. It identifies private CannaCards membership. Only the relevant clinical provider can supply clinical documents following its own assessment and process.
