A prescription is a clinical decision
Germany’s health ministry explains that medical cannabis requires a doctor’s prescription and pharmacy dispensing. A membership purchase does not establish a medical indication or replace those steps.
Before a clinical appointment, prepare your existing treatment history and questions about follow-up. Ask the provider who will handle prescriptions, pharmacy communication and any travel documentation. A consultation fee pays for an assessment; it cannot promise a particular prescription.

Prepare the Schengen paperwork separately
The Baden-Württemberg medical chamber describes a doctor-completed certificate authenticated by the health authority for travel with prescribed medical cannabis in Schengen countries.
Ask your prescriber which authority can authenticate your document and what appointment lead time to allow. Check the medicine details against the prescription before submitting it. The BfArM Article 75 form includes a maximum validity of 30 days; do not treat it as a permanent travel pass.

Check your whole route and the responsible office
The federal portal’s Hamburg guidance says non-Schengen travel may require special permits. Its local responsibility rules also illustrate why you should identify the correct authority before requesting certification.
A journey involving Germany can include an airport connection, a different return route or an extended stay. Put these in the same enquiry. Ask for confirmation for your exact product and dates, and save the response with your travel documents.

Make the lawyer callback useful
Choose Germany as the country where advice is needed if the incident concerns German law, even when your residence is elsewhere. Give a callback number with country code, a supported language and a short factual timeline. If a notice sets a deadline, make that date easy to find.
Useful questions include which authority should receive a response, whether additional documents are needed, and what work falls outside the initial consultation. Keep detailed medical records with the clinician and substantive legal advice with the lawyer. A membership QR scan is not the place to share them.
Understand what membership covers
The €60 annual CannaCards offer includes digital and physical membership cards and one 30-minute legal consultation per membership year, with a lawyer callback within six elapsed hours for eligible requests under the service terms. Review current enrollment and language availability in the membership flow.
The card identifies private membership; it is not a prescription or Schengen certificate. Medical appointments remain separate and unavailable through CannaCards until a clinical provider is configured. Further representation requires its own agreement.
